Iran/Israel getting hot. China/SGE gold closed Friday at $2,434.73 - a $90 premium to the US close. Seems to me that gold is sitting on plenty of rocket fuel.

You can definitely handle them bare handed and worry free - no gloves required. The only real downside I see to them is that, while flexible/bendy, they don't seem like they can be folded without damaging them. They really should be kept flat (not folded).

What do you mean by "shellacked"? I get wanting silver protected from the elements as sulphur in the air or body oils can accelerate tarnish, but gold doesn't have that problem.
