Re: Golden Butterfly Portfolio

If you scale them proportionally with the PP you get a 14-26% band like:

Re: Golden Butterfly Portfolio

I live in the EU and my gold fund is 4GLD. Real gold backed, you can actually request conversion to actual physical gold. Are you really sure about that? I know nada about 4GLD however many that claim to be backed by physical and that permit conversion often have criteria/conditions, such as certai...

Hmm pity, I'll keep on looking then. Maybe try to build something simple myself.
Three years later: So, I did build something myself, but it got a bit out of control (it supports any portfolio, not just PP or GB): asset.garden.

Anyone who would like to try it out, please go ahead, it's free.

When it can do something interesting other than be sold to the next greater fool maybe I'll start caring. I think it can do very interesting things that cannot be done with fiat money. E.g., the fact that no one controls it gives people in countries with an oppressive government the possibility to ...

Thanks Senecaaa. In what relative proportions do you hold the Euro and US ETFs? I am inclined to 50% US and 50% Euro, but that is arbitrary.

Looking for suggestions please. I have a Euro PP which contains Euro Large Cap shares (Sanofi, Renault, VInci, Luis Vuitton etc). At the moment the PP is not far off 4x25%, being 29/20/25/26% stocks bonds gold cash. For simplification, I am closing a small account elsewhere, and would like to use t...

Funny that some of you here are proud you never bought bitcoin. Isn't the idea of investing to grow your capital? I bought most of my bitcoin in 2014 and never sold. Happy to be not in the $0 club.

I think bitcoin is pretty binary: or you lose it all or you'll make a huge profit. So my advice is: only use money you are prepared to lose and buy&hold, no cash rebalancing.

I have implemented a German bond ladder, e.g. this bond is part of it: https://www.deutsche-finanzagentur.de/e ... 001104743/

Yes, I lose money there, as the price moves toward the par value, but as Hal said it is way safer than cash.

Whats your theory on why REITs perform so well?

IMO Bitcoin has no place in the PP for reasons discussed ad nauseum in other threads. It is strictly a speculative play and one that I have chosen to pass on.
