Re: Safe deposit boxes: Revisited

P.S. I probably mentioned it before: I feel antsy when I read in the policy that they don't cover 'mysterious disappearance.' However, I understand that they have to do this: what if one spouse empties a box without the other's knowledge? What does not constitute "mysterious disappearance"...

Re: Fidelity direct indexing and small cap value

Hey I didn't know about AVUV, thanks for mentioning! It looks like FISVX (Fidelity's small cap value mutual fund) is lagging it quite significantly, and it gets worse and worse over time. What is everyone's favorite small cap value investment??? After lots of research it seems to be the new consens...

The caption to the picture made reference to a mouse but I'm convinced it was one of my beloved gerbils.

My cats were wary of my rats but are always fascinated / after the gerbils.

We have not heard from him in 16 days.

How unusual is that?

March 16 - April 5 - 9 days

January 16 - February 19 - a LOT of days

There is a term for this as you can see from the below article. I assume you are somewhat unaware of this because you are not yet collecting Social Security. I was also oblivious to it until it became a reality for me. Ah, right, the dreaded SS tax torpedo that I see discussed on Bogleheads and for...

I converted all my cash holdings to it in March 2020. From then until about January 2023 it paid nothing. I had owned some of it prior to then.

But prior to January 2023 and starting around October 2008 did any money market fund pay anything much above 0.0%?
