Re: Putin Invades Ukraine II
Wow, very interesting read. Thank you for that, Mr and Mrs Smithers. I read and hear a lot about Zelensky and corruption but I mean he's there . He didn't abscond with cash, and Бог knows he could have. He only leaves to drum up more support for the war effort. (I don't want to cheapen things by sa...

Re: Putin Invades Ukraine II
I’m decidedly unimpressive in person, M. I consider myself very lucky to have some long-time friends who know my quirks and put up with me. O0 Back on topic- do I dare ask Smithers what his fiancee thinks about all this? I don’t think he visits this subtopic. I’ll ask in the Check-in thread. From M...

Small cap value fo' life. As I stated I made my allocations in January 2003 and have not added or subtracted to them since. For those who are facile with such things what has been the relative total performance (with dividends reinvested) for: Total Stock Market Value Small Cap Value Good question....

Re: Small Cap Value vs US Total Stock Market
One possible explanation that Fama put forth is that value companies may not be mispriced. It's possible that people just don't like them and don't have a taste for them. It could be that people have an affinity for glamour companies like Nvidia or Tesla and are willing to pay a premium to hold them...

I’m usually not a fan of beets either. I cant stand beet salad, as an example. However when cooked in borscht, the beets take on the flavour of the broth and become delicious!

2U / edX Facing Possible Bankruptcy And Shutdown
For a long time my favourite learning platform was edX. Unfortunately it now looks like it could be knocking on death's door. Its parent company, 2U, is in serious financial trouble. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/02/15/2u-earnings-miss-adds-pressure-to-debt-rankled-online-education-firm.html The worst p...

I love borscht. I don’t know if that’s a stock photo or hers but it looks better than any borscht I’ve ever had. Just a stock photo. Hers looked pretty similar though! Have you introduced foods to your fiancee that she never had before? Besides XO sauce. It's mostly her introducing me to new foods since I don't cook. :D Thanks to her I tasted borscht for the first time! Yummy and healthy. :) https://www.177milkstreet.com/assets/site/Recipes/_large/Ukrainian-Borsc...

Re: New interview with Craig Rowland
It's a good point. If productive companies are winning then that generally means society and people are probably doing well. If cryptocurrencies win in a big way it's probably because there's been some major monetary system upheaval.
