Thanks....I found out I can do that....sell funds and put proceeds into a brokerage account....Then buy the Treasuries Direct.

I like owning the bonds directly because it eliminates all manager risk. Also once you own them there is no annual expense ratio. Finally, I know in a crisis I can rely on the bonds to do what they need to do and not be subject to underneath fund risks that could always show up. Since I hold the bo...

Hello, due to Vanguard not having an ETF that approximates 30 year Treauries, is there a way to remove monies in an IRA and purchase Treasury Direct Treasury without incurring tax or penalty implications?
