Yes, along with Vanguard. Asset holders + homeowners are the most powerful lobby. They arent going to allow assets to drop nominally in USD, for very long. The governance issues are interesting, with Blackrock and Vanguard CEOs voting on your behalf https://old.reddit.com/r/Bogleheads/comments/14771...

Sound Money hasnt gotten much traction. The people who understand it give up and buy a bag of real assets. Or they end up a homeowner where the inflationary regime is mostly a benefit. Its not that AI is going to outsmart us, its that the easy jobs it might replace are important, they keep people in a routine and away from drugs. many smart people will choose to do nothing when they have UBI and social media.

The world is historically richer than average and continues getting richer. Plus shrinking opportunity for risk-free return as family formation slows. Theres a savings glut. On the other side you have government with the money printer. if they increase money supply 10% year, no one is going to loan ...

EDV down 33% since launch in 08. I backed up the truck early August at 3.3% 12-Month Yield. Today it's 4%. 5.17% SEC yield.
Trading it is pain. Can swing 2.5% in a day. Setting your limit order just outside the previous day's trading range is good enough I suppose.

Past performance doesnt mean future results. There are thousands more investors throwing money into small value today than 20 years ago. Much more efficient markets.
