Seems the thread has taken a rather different direction lately, but I think the original question is very interesting, especially for us non-US members. I'm from a european country outside the eurozone, so the EUR-PP doesn't really do it for me(and I'd say it’s reasonable to question how well the PP...

Another Swede here, finding this thread very interesting! I've also concluded that an orthodox PP is far less appealing for a non-US investor, an especially for us Swedes, given that it is practically impossible for a retail investor to buy swedish government debt. So it is basically a 30/70 with a slight gold hedge, which seems to lower the volatility even more. Not a bad portfolio, but returns over the next 40 years are likely to be quite a bit lower, even if bonds do not enter an outright bull market. So it is basically a 30/70 with a slight gold hedge, which seems to lower the volatility even more.
