Re: Hard Assets - Some Off-the-Beaten-Path Ideas

A poor-man's option for a refrigerator that will last a long time is one made out of a converted chest freezer. I don't know how to do the thermostat modification myself, but I've come across articles that describe it many times, and for someone with the least bit of mechanical savvy, it's supposed ...

Re: Hard Assets - Some Off-the-Beaten-Path Ideas

I had never heard of a sub-zero refrigerator before. (My initial question was, "How's that different than a freezer?") That's a pretty high-end piece of equipment! How are you liking it, Sophie?

Re: Team Trump’s legal arguments veering into paranoid kook-land

Does anyone here (aside from Maddy) know who are the other two and, more importantly, know what each has said? To be effective don't people have to be aware of movement leaders and what they promulgate? Not at all. When you control the Trilateral Commission, or the United Nations, you don't need pu...

Hard Assets - Some Off-the-Beaten-Path Ideas

Twelve years post-2008, I find myself once again looking at hard assets. In the interest of diversification, I'm wanting to expand my view beyond the obvious choices. For years, I though a Steinway grand might make a good candidate. Ever checked the prices on those babies, year over year? Earlier th...

Re: Judge: Republicans Will Likely Win Pennsylvania Election Lawsuit

It is trying to get votes made by legally registered voters tossed out after the fact. I'm not sure that the courts would do that. Doesn't seem very realistic to me. The only time this issue could have been heard by a court is "after the fact." Prior to the election, the case would most certainly h...

Re: Team Trump’s legal arguments veering into paranoid kook-land

It's folly to dismiss what has come directly from the mouths of the Marxist elites who, even six months ago, were being defended by the Left as the object of delusional, boogeyman-type paranoia. Three examples that come immediately to mind: Klaus Schwab, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and Gro Harlem Brundtlan...

Re: Here is the evidence

I don't know how to get through to you. Courts sometimes speculate as to what the evidence may, or may not, show before they even hear it. From both a legal and practical standpoint, such commentary is meaningless except insofar as it relates to the narrow procedural issue then before the court. And...

Re: Here is the evidence

Let's make it simple. Here's what the court stated at the outset of its opinion: "This case is not about whether those claims are true. Rather, the Campaign appeals on a very narrow ground: whether the District Court abused its discretion in not letting the Campaign amend its complaint a second time...

Re: Here is the evidence

Look at everything I just linked above. Is this not evidence? No, it's not. You want to take a ruling on a preliminary procedural matter (entitlement to an injunction and amendment of complaint) and somehow conflate this with a decision on the merits. This is an official ruling out of PA. It's an o...

I see not any real evidence of fraud.
With any luck, you'll never be on a jury. You've made up your mind before the evidence has even been presented.

Re: Here is the evidence

Internet Forum Summary Judgement only takes a headline snippet and a few minutes of time. I bet you even type your briefs up on a typewriter, you're so 20th century. I don't have a clue what you mean by "Internet Forum Summary Judgment." However, if what you're saying is that a motion for summary j...
