Re: Help Finding Least Bad 401k option

What my best options here? Right now I'm debating between the following options. Often 401k has garbage options with funds having rip off ERs. Usually SP500 funds there have the lowest ER. You can contribute 100% in those (especially if you are young enough) Ask your employer if they can open a bro...

I has been a while ago now. And I still had GBTC. Then a couple weeks ago I all the sudden found BTC funds on my account.
Too much time between those events, I think.

GBTC - BTC

A little bit of crypto on the top of PP and a part of my VP. I only had GBTC on that account (Fidelity). Long before the Grayscale was approved to convert them to ETF. Just recently I logged in to check out the holdings and notices that some BTC appeared in the funds. I have never purchased those. W...

Classic 4x25!? Surely you must have a "variable" portfolio somewhere I found my mistake. I erroneously counted the money added to my PP in 2023 towards the year profits. Oppps! Shades of the Beardstown Ladies investment group! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beardstown_Ladies ;D ;D ;D

Rebalanced this fall when LTTs hit 15%, sold gold, stocks and cash, which were at around 27-28% each. Staying the course.

Find the same data from the Russian side and take the averages, then you may get more realistic numbers. :-)

Re: Alright who’s hitting rebalancing bands?

I am curious, for those of you that use ETFs: do you set distributions to automatically reinvest or do you let the cash accumulate and decide what to do later? I like that the automatic reinvestment is making small monthly purchases at currently much lower prices. I do not do automatic reinvestment...

I have no idea whether the long term bond beat down is over, but I'm staying the course and I keep buying. I guess this is the way. Anything else is market timing. I have rebalanced a few weeks ago from stocks, gold and cash to LTTs, which became only 15% of the portfolio. So, that time just had co...

I've rebalanced at 15.6% LTTs and the other components at 27-28ish% And right after the LTTs started going up pretty well. Feels good :-) I also discovered that in Fidelity it is possible to sell specific shares. So, I sold IAU with the least gain. And also sold SHY with the highest gain to "lo...

What would be the best replacement for SHY to buy and keep for 30 days to avoid wash sale at Fidelity? Sold some SHY for tax-loss harvesting. Would have been even closer to 15% if the other componentes didn't have sunk at the same time recently.
