So the bond choice is AGG for the backtest? I'll probably find a Vanguard bond mutual fund to test

Gold can be insured, and can’t the bank just say they are not responsible for lost items? I think this is no more complex than liability. I’ll bet if you signed a release they wouldn’t care what you put in your box unless what was in the box was illegal or dangerous to their employees’ health. I do...

I think this is no more complex than liability. I’ll bet if you signed a release they wouldn’t care what you put in your box unless what was in the box was illegal or dangerous to their employees’ health.

Real is real, that’s why we use it and not nominal. For taxable, I doubt anything would do better than buying the lagging asset (eg avoiding taxable events).

Similar to Sophie but with gold, I’ve been rebalancing at the current support resistance bands.

In 47 years the PP has made plus 3% REAL 77% of the time using a 3 year rolling average. 11 years or 23% they have made less. Correct...to me it seems self evident that during the accumulation phase, you add to the the assets underweight.
