Re: The political re-alignment of our time

You know, when you announce that your entire family is on Medicaid while simultaneously posting about the joys of early retirement and the creative ways in which your considerable assets and talents are being invested, you sort of disqualify yourself from the soapbox when it comes to the question o...

Re: The political re-alignment of our time

I don't have anything to add, but I would like to cast my vote. Shouldn't the anger be directed at the multinational monopolist corporations who, aided and abetted by the U.S. military, a host of NGOs, and approximately 235 whores, have been harvesting these countries for decades? These aren't clim...

Re: The political re-alignment of our time

You're living in a dream world. Governments need to enforce the laws that are on the books. If that doesn't happen, then we just slowly turn into the type of nation that these immigrants are trying to get away from. Government bureaucracy is a terrible thing to fall into. Ask me how I know. It's no...

Re: Is the successful salaried retail investor a myth?

Agreed, good find Vinny. Going back to what ocho said, I guess I'd agree with him, the way he phrased it. But If those same people saved a bigger percentage of their incomes, they would have a much better success rate with their retirements. It's a good feeling knowing you don't have to do anything...

Re: Forum / Team?

My experiences here as well as in real life during the Trump era have left me fundamentally convinced that you must give no quarter to trolls, fascists, and any others with no respect for their fellow man or ability to hold rational discussions when they try to join polite society. You need to push...

Re: Simple, Healthy, Delish Recipes

Ah, you're lucky, Moda. My wife and I usually eat different things at home, as I often go for something lighter in flavor (but richer in calories), where as she puts sauces on everything, but weighs under 100 lbs. I don't understand it, because when we go out, she invariably likes what I order over...

Re: Simple, Healthy, Delish Recipes

That's a neat recipe above. I like that it has honey included. I've been making baked ziti. ✓ simple, ✓ delicious, maybe not healthful. I don't think it qualifies. O0 I recommend salsa verde . Easy to make and very tasty. I make far smaller batches than this as there are only two of us in the house...

Simple, Healthy, Delish Recipes

I think this would be a good spot to throw up a spot for good recipes. We’ve probably done this before but doesn’t hurt with a new crowd. I’ll go first... although I’m already breaking a rule, as I wouldn’t call it “easy” necessarily, but definitely not difficult. Cajun Salmon Salad on Quinoa w/ Lim...

Re: Is Trump doing a good job?

Moda, Fair enough. I'm not a government hater though. They are protection rackets, that's kinda the point. Personally I like being able to go about my daily business without an AK-47 constantly in tow and I'm willing to exchange some of my earnings and even some of my freedom for that protection. O...

Re: Is Trump doing a good job?

Moda, I just think you have a default setting for everything regardless of facts. I gave you the key for how to figure out what reality is when it comes to casualties caused by whom. Draw a line south of Najaf and the odds are very high the person was killed by a Shia militia or most likely Shia pl...

Re: Is Trump doing a good job?

Facts are good things...take a look at the data yourself. Iranian caused or Iranian supported American deaths in the hundreds, easy, and accurate. http://icasualties.org/App/Fatalities?cause-contains=fire&page=364&rows=10 Sunni caused American deaths in the thousands also accurate. I guess in today...
