Re: What's The Big Deal With A Wealth Tax?

Proposals seem to be 2% above 20MM. Is it about raising money, or vengeance on rich people? I think it would be doa because it would hit the big left donors. If it happens, I think many would give up their citizenship. Oh good point, we need to make the law be retroactive, so even if selfish wealth...

Inauguration Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman

For anyone who did not catch the inauguration on Wednesday, for me the highlight was the poem The Hill We Climb , composed and read by the youth poet laureate Amanda Gorman. Besides creating an appreciation for the art and power of the words of poetry, the reading itself was stirring. How a 22 year ...

Re: Q is a waste of time

Watched 15 seconds total of the pukefest today. What did I hear out of the senile vegetable that's been installed? Surprise, surprise, the biggest danger facing us is.........white supremacy and domestic terrorists. Of course. Whatever group voted against the communists in overwhelming fashion is t...

Re: Vinny’s Vietnam war protest arrest

To be fair, that particular event and the response to it may have been "based on BS", but fundamentally, the war was based on attempting to prevent the spread of Communism, which was not BS. Who is going to jump in and save us a few years from now? Save us from Americans? Maybe we can ask the Vietn...

Unless you believe what Harry Browne wrote in his last book The War Racket, which was basically that your la...

Re: Vinny’s Vietnam war protest arrest

As much as I detested Trump....he had least being wildly entertaining going for him. Biden is your prototypical politician with no entertainment value who wants to just spend rather than engage in more effective solutions. I don't want an entertainer President ever again. I look to my lawyer for le...

Re: Trump declassifies all FBI documents in Russia probe

I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll surely find an article that reveals how Hillary Clinton was behind the Capitol riot.
Maybe even present at the time in disguise.

Re: Censorship continued: first the Parler app then @realDonaldTrump

None of our liberties are without some limits thanks to politicians and judges. Also thanks to reason and common sense. An example being limitation of speech that calls for immediate violence. I don't disagree there shouldn't be speech limits to protect other's liberty such as calling for violence ...

Re: Censorship continued: first the Parler app then @realDonaldTrump

Of course I really understand what free speech means. What you really missed was that I was writing the ideal, as if I had full power to mandate all. But it's understandable you missed that because my writing is generally written in such a serious and literal vein. However, you are not acknowledgin...

Lol. Glends this is literally the second paragraph from the article you linked to: "The fundamental right to freedom of opinion is a fundamental right of elementary importance, and this fundamental right can be interfered with, but through the law and within the framework defined by the legislature...
