PERM is conceptually sound.

But it lacks trading volume.  Tread carefully.

But since the inception of Faber's GTAA etf that fund is down about one per cent compared with +15 pct for PRPFX...

He should worry about GTAA, his flagship ETF for tactical asset allocation.

Since '99 PRPFX is up 220 per cent, Vanguard Wellington 190 per cent.  Think long-term.

I think it's a good idea to check several translations of the Tao Te Ching for comparison's sake. So far, after looking at a few I like the one I've had since the 1970s. It seems the most inspired and poetic of those I've looked at. I found it on Amazon. You can check out the inside and the reviews...

Wait for it to get critical mass is my advice.  See if the volume's there.  Global X likes to flirt with the margins and can be a fickle husband.

PRPFX has walked the walk for a long time and has a lot of assets.  There is no surety that PERM, regardless of its merits, will attract enough investors to even be around two years from now.  ETFs come and go.  Make haste slowly.

I'm surprised that Cuggino & Co. let Global X beat them to the punch with an ETF variant.  Well, there goes the "PERM" symbol.

I don't buy new funds, but I think it's at least worth tracking.  I've done that with GTAA, another pretender to the throne.

I began my HB PP at the beginning of February 2011, using SGOL, TLT, SHY, and VTI.  Average gain: 11.64 per cent.

I only wish my PRPFX were doing as well as my HBPP.

I am tracking my portfolio closely via spreadsheet; no problem there.  But that requires inputting the data and seeing the numbers--exactly what I'd like to avoid.

Is there software that will trigger a re-balancing alert?  Please advise.

Do we have a long-term record for it?  Can Americans buy it?

As a shareholder of PRPFX I'm glad he's skeptical.
