Re: ⌛ Too Late for Bitcoin? Or Just the Right Time? ⚡ Finally Taking the First Step into Bitcoin?
At this point I am happy enough making sure my stock fund contains MicroStrategy. That gets me enough exposure to Bitcoin since they hold so much Bitcoin. Think of Bitcoin as a single stock like NVIDIA or Amazon that has done really well. Sure I wish I would have gone all in on those stocks before t...

I do think it has use case myself though in Transferring wealth across borders. I assume this happens and Bitcoin wins this one for now?

Phone cases are for the poor.
With that said, I would never spend extra for OtterBox. I buy whatever looks to be best value in the moment.

That has been a tough problem for me as well boglerdude. I have been doing the intermediate term option as my solution by using the GOVT etf which does also have slice of long term treasuries but is effectively an intermediate fund. This has just now made me wonder if an even better option would be ...

Thanks for the thought dumps in the last couple of posts. I enjoyed the reads. 425's post left me thinking about why would it be Bitcoin that people save in? I can only think of it as a last ditch effort for savings in a country where you have no legal rights to your savings. The better options in c...

Re: Why Value?
I looked at value funds really hard and couldn't bring myself to believe in them. I think for a value fund to continuously work it would have to be a highly active fund. From what I could remember, all of the historical out performance is based on indexes that were not actual funds during the out pe...

Wow 15%. I am glad it paid off. That would scare me too much with its volatility. 1 or 2% is still about all I think I could stomach but it wouldn't really make any difference at that level so still not in it.

Interesting. I don't know that I watched it completely but from what I saw, his intelligence is what I noticed more than anything. The next thing I was shocked by is that he hasn't even spoken to Biden since the conflict started. https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/tucker-carlson-interviews-vladimi...

Re: Who's putting cash in tax free accounts?
I have also thought about this conundrum and took cash out of Roth accounts. I now just do three equal parts of stocks, gold and intermediate bonds in Roth and traditional retirement accounts. Then save in only cash outside of retirement accounts. It ends up being balanced enough for me. If somehow ...

I kind of do 33 x 3 but use a total bond fund more like an intermediate bond fund. I also save cash separately.

I expect total world stock and bond funds are more popular in other countries outside of USA. Total world options are almost non existent in the US. If I was outside of the US and wanted to stay there I think I would hold some local cash and then split in thirds total world stock, total world bonds ...
