Re: Harry Dent: ‘Crash of a Lifetime’ Coming in 2024

At least according to https://dqydj.com/average-median-top-income-by-age-percentiles, the median income doesn't materially change between age 35 and 65. However 65 year-olds have had decades more to accumulate wealth, so they're certainly richer on average than younger folks. Therefore I would expe...

Given that Elon is now in the US Treasury IT infrastructure, I'm going to get fresh copies of my I-BOND values, and also my and my wife's Social Security statement, before they get stepped-on (accidentally or otherwise). Nothing more dangerous than having someone poke around in a live, production I...

On the bright side, President Trump has done nothing yet that personally adversely affects me, my neighborhood, my family or 99.99% of the United States citizens. Lucky you. My wife's oncologist can no longer communicate with her colleagues at NIH. Her life depends on surfing the waves of the lates...

"Ihre Papiere, bitte!" I know there’s a constant temptation to compare Trump to Hitler and his minions to Nazis, but while the story above is unfortunate, these people are not being shipped off to extermination camps. I’m sure there are going to be more stories like this. Hopefully, ICE w...

If it performs how it's done every day so for in 2025, wouldn't be a bad return
(IAU up 1.37% every trading day through 1/2/2025 ;D )

(although what that would say about the rest of the economy in 2025, ugh)

Definitely Cash And, quite happy with them -- didn't lose value; returns spiked during high inflation, don't pay taxes until redeem, no state taxes -- good stuff! I don't have that much in I-Bonds, so, selling low fixed rate bonds and buying at the current 1.3% fixed rate (yeah, the current composit...

It has been said that if Israel takes out Iran’s drone facility in its anticipated response, this will degrade Russia’s ability to use drones against Kyiv. Wouldn’t mind seeing that. And the final 1 May 2024 tally: * 1.3% Fixed rate * 4.28% composite rate So, it worked out to buy in April I'll likely sell more of my 0% fixed rate I-Bond (2.98%) and put into T-Bills / Treasury Money Market for now (~5.3%) Then put back into I-Bonds a bit later -- some likely around November / som...

I just sold some 0% fixed rate I-Bonds and bought new ones at 1.3% (Fixed rate at 1.3% through the end of April) Per one YouTube video I say, the fixed rate likely to be slightly lower May 1 And, figued 1.3% is better than my 0%, even with the 3 month interest penalty for selling before 5 years are up
