Re: Alright who’s hitting rebalancing bands?
Yeah, I need to look into this -- I'm pretty sure I need to put some funds into LTT (although I have a low target allocation to LTT vs PP)

Re: PP Mistakes
Overall, if I hadn't applied PP aspects to my retirement portfolio starting in 2012 (never been full PP), if I'd stayed the course, I'd have had higher returns. If I'd gone the other way and 100% into S&P 500, I'd have done even better Of course, I wouldn't have slept as well, might not have stayed ...

Re: New I-Bond Rate for 5/1/23 to 10/31/23
What's the way to think about using I-Bonds if the yield dips significantly below T-Bills? Well, I don't have that much in I-Bonds (have more in T-Bills / Money Markets) So, I'll likely not add; rollover older than May 2023 I-Bonds to higher fixed rate ones as it makes sense. Stay the course to hav...

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
While we are on the topic is surprises me that we don't have more members of this forum that are gamers, given that it seems like we are mostly male. Is it a generational thing? Used to do a bit -- Table Top RPGs (Basic and AD&D, Star Frontiers) and a bit of Wargaming (Panzer Leader, Dawn Patrol), ...

Ditto on the “tracking error” bit — if trying to get them to learn, I’d probably start with TSM or some such so that it better tracks the news

So, I logged into TreasuryDirect Sunday (5/7) — uses the new login: * Are sent a one-time passcode (OTP) every time (can’t register your computer) * No more using on-screen keyboard * Password now case sensitive, based on the capitalization used for first login I didn’t do any changes (I’m looking t...

Had intended to full go through this when it came out in September 2022 so as to implement. https://tipswatch.com/2022/09/21/short-term-treasurys-even-more-attractive-now/ However, since then several other things took priority. Those things have now been taken care of and I do have to time to go th...

Re: New I-Bond Rate for 5/1/23 to 10/31/23
I’m not planning to buy new, but I may “swap” (sell and buy new) older iBonds, as most of mine have a 0% fixed rate (one has 0.2% I think)
Not that I have much, but, as I have space, I might as well get that extra 0.9% (even with any tax implications of selling existing iBonds, I _think_ worth it)
