Re: The Permanent Supplement Regime

There was some recent discussion about Berberine and Metformin, I thought under this subject, but I couldn't find it.  However, I want to put this info out there.  It's from Jenny Ruhl's blog on managing diabetes, Blood Sugar 101.  The info doesn't seem to be there anymore, but I printed it out when...

Re: Solo Roth IRA with Vanguard or Fidelity (Help!)

Barrett, I'm really glad that the info was helpful.  I did find it easy to set up and I knew nothing, NOTHING about investing at the time, was mostly in cash and GLD.  It was late in my working life (in fact I'm virtually retired as of this year) that I was able to sign up, so my income has been too...

Re: Solo Roth IRA with Vanguard or Fidelity (Help!)

I have my solo 401k with TD Ameritrade.  Mine is not Roth, but they offered a Roth version as well when I was setting mine up.  I hold individual bonds, TLT,  IAU, VTI.  I chose TD Ameritrade because of Vanguard's restrictions.  There are none with TD Ameritrade.

Re: A simple, common sense approach to eating healthy

I don't believe Rosedale says that any amount of glucose is toxic.  As an md of course he knows that certain cells require it.  I think he does say, however, that we don't need much, and it's better not to eat your glucose--let your body produce what it needs when it needs it from amino acids and th...

Re: Article on Active vs. Passive

Out of frustration, Barry Marshall, one of the two scientists who made the connection between h. pylori and gastric ulcers, drank a petri dish of the bacteria (with before and after endoscopy) to prove upon himself the connection.  Had he not taken that extraordinary step, acceptance and appropriate...
