The current system is simply not working for the American people.
No, it's not. But it works reeeeally well for the politicians, so don't expect things to ever change.

Who’s getting it now? Wave after wave, who’s left who hasn’t got some immunity?
My GF tested positive on Wednesday evening. I was with her the entire weekend prior and feel fine.

So, it turns out that the immune system can actually do it's job in a pinch. I had some blood drawn yesterday (results arrived in my email today) and not only do I have horrible cholesterol and good Vitamin D and average testosterone and reasonably good A1c, but also I am over the charts on Covid a...

Re: The Inflation Spike Probably Won't Last

I'm making my way through the newsletters I get from Peter Zeihan, here's what he had to say about inflation: I’ve got two bits of good news and one bit of bad news. Good1: The good news is that as high as energy prices have recently become in the United States, relief is on the way. Oil and natura...

Even the Christians (Protestant/Catholic) and the Muslims (Sunni/Shia) can't agree on what's what, so how do you expect the rest of the religions to concur?

DDG has improved dramatically. I used to feel the same as you, that it was lacking, but that is no longer the case (exception: their maps suck).

It would be really awesome if some organization could just report the facts, without any opinion or bias. Not holding my breath.

Re: Reasons why I will not be getting injected for the Wuhan

There is a lot of disinformation out there. One can just spread it around and compound the problem, or actually take a few minutes to check the facts first. Where do you propose one should go to "check the facts"? Google is your friend here. You can look up many articles and papers describing the C...

Re: Coronavirus General Discussion

All the cool kids are talking about endemic and how to deal with that probable fact of life going forward. I think most people here acknowledge this as fact now. The flu has been endemic for years and there were no mask mandates or restrictions of any kind. So what is your take on why certain areas...

I've said this a hundred times before on this forum, but Hussman has been so wrong so often that you can't take his advice on timing for anything. He may be right about the market being overvalued (his perpetual opinion) right now, but "the market can be irrational a lot longer than you can be solve...

Re: Reasons why I will not be getting injected for the Wuhan

I'm hoping Trump doesn't run so De Santis can get the nomination. It's not that I don't like Trump but he comes with too much baggage at this point and if he gets elected he'll be a lame duck president before he even gets started. I think 8 years of DeSantis would be just what the country needs rig...

Another person (SO) cant cure your depression/anxiety and vice versa. You have to be happy being single, then maybe a relationship will improve your life.

My daughter is a third grade teacher, and I asked her if her class this year was either intellectually or socially worse than previous years. Not surprisingly the answer was yes to both.

I’m also grateful that I can eat at restaurants again when I feel like it. I find this statement disturbing. The mask is most effective at demonstrating the submission of the wearer to whatever dictates have been imposed. This is demonstrated most clearly by the diners who don the garment of submission at the door, and remove it as soon as they are seated. No, this is demonstrated most clearly by the driv...
