Re: Masks are Liberals’ Burkhas

The point made in the opening post is exactly correct. Sadly, it's not only liberals who have prostrated themselves to this cult. Yes, the face diaper is the sign of submission. For anyone who thinks this is about public health, please provide actual scientific studies documenting the effectiveness ...

Integrity of bullion ETFs

Can you point me to robust discussion of the integrity of gold and silver ETFs? I think this topic was touched on some time ago on this forum. However, my preference is for commentators who have done deep research, or the like, on these financial instruments. I think this is very timely in light of ...

Re: Would you wear a mask?

I will wear a mask if I am forced. And then, only with objection. I don't belong to a cult. I don't believe in superstition, nor pseudoscience.I don't want to further cult-like behavior and superstitious action, nor any other form of groupthink or virtue signaling. I will not consent to voluntarily ...

Re: Realistic Expectations for Long Bonds

I expect a snapback as bonds appear massively overbought, by historic measures.

Re: The Permanent Portfolio May Be About To Break

I suspect QE infinity is correct. I have heard at least one financial commentator predict the same. It makes perfect sense, considering our form of government. Politicians prefer to keep their jobs.

I hope others on the forum will weigh in.

Re: The Permanent Portfolio May Be About To Break

I am also giving a little more thought to the portfolio recently. allow me to offer a devil's advocate perspective on your post. If in fact the bonds are not going to react to the upside sufficiently as rates fall, it seems that you would require a greater percentage of US Treasury bonds, not fewer,...

Index investing, downside to what Jack Bogle accomplished

I expect this post may ruffle some feathers.

What are your thoughts on losing the proxy vote for all the shares you hold of your index fund companies?

Re: What's going on with silver?

Good comments. Storage cost / expense ratio seems to be one of the reasons switching to Silver is not a simple decision. looking at these ratio charts...they dont agree in the early 90s? From both charts, however I see that the ratio can remain elevated for several years. That silver expense ratio c...
