Re: I Think This Forum Should Stick To Investing

Mainly that having the separate sub-forum to encourage them I don't think was a fit... for all the reasons I mentioned on page 1. So please, quit putting words in my mouth. That is something I don't think you've said before, and maybe you thought you did (or that it would be understood from what yo...

Re: I Think This Forum Should Stick To Investing

This is part of the problem. The generalization and assumptions. You don't really know that this is the reason people are upset. So you make this broad assumption and use that as a way to discount every other opinion. This happens A LOT on this forum. The fact is that many people have left because ...

Re: I Think This Forum Should Stick To Investing

There are now 10 people in my poll, a poll that is in this section that people can opt out of mind you, that have said yes they have considered leaving this forum because of politics. Why is that? Well, why when there is a car accident on the freeway to people slow down to look as they pass by? It'...

D1984, Understood that the health-sharing ministries won't work for you. On pre-existing conditions, they don't turn you down, at least CHM (the one with which I'm most familiar) doesn't. They start out not paying for anything related to that condition, and then gradually over a period of 3 years th...

Re: I Think This Forum Should Stick To Investing

Go look at my poll. There are 9 people that said they have considered leaving this forum because of politics. I've spoken to a few people that have left, and a few people considering leaving lately. This is not just about me. This is a real problem. You need a new poll, one that specifically says s...

Re: I Think This Forum Should Stick To Investing

I don't understand. The whole point of the politics subforum was to keep politics separate from the rest of the site's content. As far as I can see it's been very successful so far. If you don't like the political content, then just don't browse this area? ??? I personally just don't see that there...

Re: Best Deal right now on Gold

Do you have a local coin dealer? I have never in 12 years of doing this paid more than $30-35 over spot. Granted, last time I bought physical has been a couple years. I have 5 or 6 lcs. They're usually $100-$125 over spot for an eagle. $35 over spot would be great even for a krugerrand or bar now. ...

Anyone considering buying physical gold for the first ruins but having a hard time pulling the trigger?
The first... ruins? Guessing this was an autocorrect for "time"?

Premiums seem to be high right now (5%?) which makes it hard to pull that trigger.

Re: Poll: What percentage of your gold is held in physical form?

For new money into gold, right now I'm not sure ETF's might make more sense considering the high markup over spot price that most dealers are charging for bullion. Lock in gains (or losses) with ETF's then convert to bullion when markups come down..............assuming they ever will. Such a conver...

And yet, no science to support your satire. Because it doesn't exist How about 46 scientific studies that say elsewise from US sources https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/masking-science-sars-cov2.html Maybe 14 more from European sources https://erj.ersjournals.com/content/early/2020/04/...
