Re: Book Titles (updated)

dualstow, after you finish reading Unintended Consequences: A Hotwife Story , make sure and post a review. From the Amazon description: But what do they say? A march of a thousand miles starts with a single step. I’d always enjoyed other guys admiring my wife’s sexy body, and I’d even had one or two...

Re: Book Titles, Politics section

Can you set up an "opt in" group similar to the politics group? How, specifically would we execute the “no soup for you” part? Delete the overpasting, you mean? Or you mean lock a member out of a section? I don’t know if the latter exists in the forum programming. It looks like you've come up with ...

Re: Book Titles, Politics section

Xan, dualstow. Give me a moment here. Here's an idea. Just as a test run. A small sample. Can you set up an "opt in" group similar to the politics group? Maybe call it the "Forum Nazi" topic. Someplace where bad forum behavior is ruthlessly chastised. Not editing your quotes? "No soup for you!" Post...

She/he could be a conservative trolling, <snip> I was thinking the same. I was ready to say that that would be impossible as no conservative has been hired by a school in 3 decades. However, this was posted on anon. It's an anonymous forum sprinkled with some brilliant and autistic trolls/hackers. ...

Re: These are angry, woman-hating men

Funny how for so long it was only women's feelings that mattered. Now they're being told that they're "out." That must be making some of perpetual women-victims a little crazy. I think it is really just mental illness, Maddy. On two fronts. The completely unstable and mentally ill shop teacher that...

I wonder if the school would respond the same if a female to male tranny teacher started sporting a massive 3' cod piece while teaching shop class.

Re the whole "carbon neutral" thing, you gotta wonder where all those carbon atoms are going.

P.S. Not Mark, Hal , your diagram looks like an electrical circuit with a lot of resistors.

I'm buying up old Victorian houses in Mad Max neighborhoods of San Francisco, Portland and Vancouver. Then sealing tubes of Eagles behind the false drawer fronts in the bathroom vanities. It's a sure thing.

In other words, a community of intellectually exceptional people needs more care paid to people's feelings to avoid it exploding, not less. I like this perspective. There's some real truth to it. I'll have to think about it a bit to see if I agree that it is a "good thing". It definitely is a good ...

What I hated about my manual rental car in Italy was that reverse and 1st were the same position, but you had to push the stick in to access reverse, and a beep would sound.

Re: Is the stick a dying art?

My rental car last month was an automatic with paddle shifters. This was on the big island of Hawai'i and we had lots of steep hills and narrow winding roads. I hated it. You can't move directly from a high gear (say 5 or 7) to a low gear like 3. You have to step through the gears. Plus, you can't t...

Re: Is the stick a dying art?

From a pure performance standpoint, I've heard that the technology is better and faster at shifting than the best high performance human driver. But I don't think that refers to all automatics. Probably only the most high end high performance cars. I see this argument all of the time. And it may be...
