Yes, teach history not some make believe stories. That's not going to help anybody, it will just breed ignorance.
What would they teach about WWI and WWII I wonder?

Re: New Generation Hamburger Chains
I fairly regularly go the McD to get a spicy chicken sandwich for $1, and a large Iced Coffee for $2. And the newer McD restaurants look pretty nice too. When I still was in Houston, McD used to be my backup place if my internet went down. And when we were selling our house I'd go there during showi...

Re: DC Paralyzed By Winter Storm (3") - Boston Sneers
HA! I used to live in Clifton Park, Guilderland and Albany. The company I worked for also had offices in DC and Atlanta. Some nice winter day we heard the DC office was closed because of the snowfall. So I was thinking, wow, that must be really bad in DC. But no, that also turned out to be an inch o...

New Allegations Renew Old Questions About Saudi Arabia And 9/11 Moussaoui testified at his trial that key members of the Saudi royal family continued to fund al-Qaida in the late 1990s, even after the organization had declared war on the House of Saud. He also described plotting with an employee of...

The only reason ISIS conquered a large part of Iraq is that the Sunnis there prefer them over the Shias. Since ISIS has had real opposition things haven't looked so rosy for them. So don't worry too much yet they'll be invading Rome. Or the USA! They have peaked.

I was signing up, then it asked something like "which hardware do you use? iPad/iPhone/Other". I answered OTHER, because I'm on Android. So it told me to take a hike. Yes, I know there's no Android app, but I figured I'd sign up and be ready whenever it comes. As I've mentioned before, I'm...

... That would finally give me a good alternative to ridiculously overpriced and unreliable wireless service out here in the sticks! Visiting a friend here in NL I tested his $60 internet (+phone+tv) for speed on my Nexus phone, and got 48.34 Mbps down, 5.74 Mbps up (speedtest app). Through my Tunn...

Overreacting to Obama, again
Such is the daggers-drawn state of political discourse in Washington these days that President Obama could go to the National Prayer Breakfast, call the Islamic State a “brutal, vicious death cult”? — and still end up being assailed by conservatives.

Re: Captured Pilot Burned Alive by ISIS
If Obama would have listened to his advisors and left a residual force in Iraq ISIS would still be the junior varsity team that our President was calling it. Maybe not, they still would have taken much ground in Syria. And (playing if..if..if games) if Obama in that case would have "had the sp...

Al-Qaeda even broke away from ISIS so are they now with us or against us, and who is enemy number one now? Well, ISIS told Al-Zawahiri to STFU and mind his own business.
