Many people already do, more so after 11/3/2020.

Re: The Left is Eating Itself Pt. II

No way to read all the comments at Reddit and still have a life. What is the preferred sort method? Best? Top? Or something else? I don't really have a good answer. I usually scroll through looking for initial responses to the topic (posts that appear on the far left). I'll read some of the threade...

Re: Inflation Reduction Act

Things might make more sense if people shed the false dichotomy of D vs R and reframe it as establishment vs non-establishment (or regime vs non-regime, elites vs non-elites, etc. as you prefer). D and R are just two wings of the same bird. I'd be surprised if there is anyone left who truly believe...

The title change to Inflation Reduction Act seemed mostly aimed at satisfying Manchin and his constituents.
They could have just said it would be safe and effective.

Re: Figuring Out Religion

The religion of non-religion (and it absolutely is one) is HUGE on forcing its beliefs on people. Our local school district is a major sponsor of "Pride Month", and all year long walking through the school it's rainbow this and rainbow that everywhere. They're marketing homosexuality to children. A...

Re: Is the stick a dying art?

Definitely a shame. Folks don't know what they're missing out on. It's so much fun! And, it's safer. I really believe it helps the driver to be engaged with driving. But then take for example my Honda minivan: from a dead stop, give it a little gas, just enough for it to decide to shift to 2nd. The...

How are you defining lasting impact? That's a seriously good question. Not sure I could write a short pithy definition. The main thing I have in mind is that something becomes widely accepted. Love them or hate them a couple of things I would list that were not widely accepted and now are would inc...

It depends on context, but Mark may have a point. While I don't think it's particularly productive to be antagonistic or nasty to other individuals, there is a lot of absurdity going on in the world that needs to be called out. Many times a call for "civility" is just another way of saying "Hey, th...

Regarding performances... it's often the performers that insist on specific policies, not the venues. The venues just have to enforce them, so they can vary from event to event.

Check your auto insurance policy to see if you have roadside assistance. They will usually tow your car even if it's sitting in your driveway.

It certainly looks more like a principled stand to me than a personal vendetta, but I suppose that's in the eye of the beholder. For example if she just wanted to cruise to reelection she wouldn't be doing any of this. Perhaps the principles are not what you think they are. I'll bite; what are they...
